The New to Partnership Payment scheme was introduced in July 2020 for an anticipated two years. In December 2021, NHS England extended the scheme into 2023.
GPs and other clinical staff intending to apply for the scheme need to have entered into an equity partnership by 31st March 2023 to be able eligible to submit an application by 30th June 2023.
If your partnership role commences from 1t April 2023, you will not be eligible for the scheme. However, if you wish to appeal this, you can view the appeals guidance for the New to Partnership Payments Scheme on the schemes Future NHS Platform under scheme guidance. If you do not already hold a Future NHS account, you can simply register via the Future NHS login page. There are two stages to the appeals procedure, which include a senior review of your application and a formal appeal. Please follow the appeals guidance for confirmation of how to initiate your appeal and the associated timescale.
