We continue to be aware of the difficulties that some practices have experienced in achieving higher thresholds for Childhood Vaccinations and Immunisations QOF targets as a consequence of not being able to exception report because of parental refusal or missing the schedule deadline due to new registrations etc.

We were once again keen this year to understand the extent of the problem in Essex and recently sent out a questionnaire to establish how our practices are affected by this. As at 30 June 2025, we had received 72 responses (down by 38 on 2024) and have created the below report that we will now share with GPC England to use in their future negotiations with NHS England to try and enforce changes in order for practices not to lose out financially for Childhood Vaccinations and Immunisations through no fault of their own:
