Safer Working in General Practice

The BMA have updated their Safe Working document and added some more elements. In particular there is a ‘master list’ of enhanced services from across England. The links for Safe Working in General Practice and enhanced services can be found below:

Enhanced Services that GP Practices can seek funding for

Colleagues across the BMA and the LMC support network continue to work together to develop a safer working toolkit to give more practical advice to practices as to how to apply safer working practices. This will be published as parts of it become ready, and the BMA should have the first section available after New Year.

The BMA are also looking to publish much more specific guidance on what is and what is not core general practice. As a general principle, if there is an enhanced service anywhere, then it cannot be core general practice anywhere.
