Dear Colleagues,

This BMA analysis of the recently announced NHS England “support” package exposes it as merely another way to micromanage and bully practices. Our CCGs are already being coerced into putting this plan into operation and my advice to practices is to contact your PCN Clinical Director and warn them not to be drawn into a plan which offers virtually nothing and exposes 1 in 5 practices to unnecessary scrutiny and potential public abuse.

This is a bullies’ charter and the LMC will be speaking to all of our CCGs in order to protect our already over worked colleagues from further politically driven pressure.

Your contract states that care be delivered “in a manner determined by the practice” so please do not be forced into exposing staff and patients to unnecessary risks.
