Primary Care Careers Update

Primary Care Careers update, June 2024

At the start of the year Primary Care Careers introduced a support page to their website which brings together all the coaching, training, and health & wellbeing support that’s available to those working in primary care, so that you don’t have to go searching for it.  You can even bookmark the page so that it’s always at your fingertips.

Primary Care Careers are passionate about providing support for you and your colleagues working in primary care and they’re delighted to be able to share that in partnership with EQUIP and Dr Liya Jacob Ltd, they are offering you a fully funded eight-week course. The Clarity Catalyst ™ is based on a Stanford University master’s degree course in personal development, it blends mindfulness and emotional intelligence exercises to shift your perspective on how you see yourself and the world. This guided course encompasses weekly online group sessions, including smaller break out groups, separate structured one to one online peer meetings, and weekly tips and tasks to embed your learning.

Would you like to find out more about the Clarity Catalyst ™?

Dr Liya Jacob is running 30-minute webinars to give you an introduction to the course structure and content. Attending a webinar will help you decide if this is a course for you.

You can register for any of the webinars here:

If you can’t make any of these dates, please don’t worry, more webinar dates will be added before the course starts in September and you’ll be able to find these via the Primary Care Careers support page.

Naturally, if you have any questions about the work that Primary Care Careers do, and the outcomes they achieve, or the Clarity Catalyst, then please do not hesitate to get in touch with them at:

Primary Care Careers Website

Primary Care Careers have been supporting practices and PCNs across Essex with recruitment to all roles in primary care for a while now.  This week marks the launch of the new Primary Care Careers website

The new website brings together all the recruitment support available to you.  Whether you are looking to recruit to a permanent or fixed-term role, looking for temporary cover, or looking for a new role yourself, all the information is now in one place.

Posting an advert using Primary Care Careers means your advert will be added to other jobs boards too, including the likes of Indeed.  Primary Care Careers can also add your advert to NHS Jobs.  If you are currently looking to recruit, or you have been experiencing problems finding the right person for your team, get in touch with Primary Care Careers about the different options available to you:

Tel: 07966 211098

All the support that Primary Care Careers offers is fully funded at ICB level, so there is no cost to practices or PCNs to use the service.

There are two files for you to use in your practice.  The first is a PCC Website Launch PowerPoint Visual that you can add to the information you display on the screens in your surgery.  The second is a PCC Website Launch Surgery Poster that you can print off and place on notice boards in your practice or PCN.

Your patients are potentially people that could be interested in working in primary care or even your practice /PCN and the PowerPoint shows them where to find the current vacancies. You never know, they may even start looking whilst sitting in the waiting room.
