Updated Pandemic Flu Guidance for GP Practices
The second edition of the joint GPC / RCGP / DH pandemic flu guidance for GP practices has now been published. The original guidance was designed to help general practice plan for the possibility of having to work during a severe pandemic, such as avian flu. The updated guidance has been reviewed to take in to account this year’s swine flu outbreak and the guidance that has been published in relation to this.

Delivery of H1N1 vaccination

Antiviral Authorisation Voucher guidance
The DH has forwarded the Antiviral Authorisation Voucher guidance that was sent out to SHAs for dissemination last week.
The GPC has since written to the DH expressing concerns that FP10 prescription forms will no longer be acceptable to use to prescribe antivirals and have urged them to reconsider their decision to allow for FP10s to be used in conjunction with the antiviral vouchers.
